Lead VR Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and highly skilled Lead VR Developer with expertise in game development to spearhead the technical development of our innovative game, Hark. As the Lead VR Developer, you will join our creative, collaborative team bringing to life a groundbreaking restorative game, while also having the freedom to work autonomously and make a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:

– Lead the development and optimization of the existing game prototype on Unity, ensuring alignment with project objectives from a game development perspective.

– Collaborate closely with the Lead VR Designer to create a seamless and engaging user experience within the realm of game development.

– Provide technical leadership in VR development, ensuring adherence to best practices while continuously integrating novel AI-based tools into the workflow specific to game development.

– Support the design and execution of user testing in December, including data analysis and game updates based on feedback within game development.

– Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager to ensure smooth project progression and alignment with operational and administrative objectives specific to game development.

– Stay up to date with new development processes and swiftly integrate them into the game development workflow.

Qualifications:

– Proven experience in Unity game development, particularly for VR platforms, with a preference for candidates with 5+ years of experience in game development.

– Strong programming skills in C#, with a talent for writing clean, efficient, and modular code relevant to game development.

– Excellent communication and project management skills within the game development context.

– Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously, adapting to evolving project needs specific to game development.

– Interest in or experience with therapeutic gaming within the game development industry.

– Proficiency in 3D character modelling and animation within game development is a bonus.
